Just thought it was time for an update. This last month has probably been one of the worst of my life but it has made me a stronger person because of it. On August 17, Eric and I broke up. We had been praying about what we should do and we just did not get the answer we wanted. We both really wanted to get married and it would have been really easy to just ignore our answers and go ahead and do it but we did not feel right about getting married so we ended things. I have had to put all of my faith and trust in the Lord because I know he knows what is best for me, even if I can't see that right now. I know in the end everything will work out just the way it is supposed to. And if I'm not supposed to be with Eric, then whatever is out there will make me ten times happier.
I started a new job about five weeks ago. I am working at a before/after school homework club through the Humboldt Unified School District. I work from 6:15-8:30 in the mornings and 2:30-5:30 in the afternoons. So far, it has been a pretty good job. Some of the people I am working with I do not get along with but I am not there for them. I am there for the kids. Some kids don't really like me...shocking I know!! One kid tells me that I ruin his day every day. I guess that just must mean that I am doing my job. HA! The first week I was there another kid hit me right in the face with a ball. So, there have been some interesting times but overall I really enjoy working with the kids. It's pretty much the easiest job there is. I get to go to work and play board games and eat snacks. Can't complain too much.
School also started a few weeks ago. So far it is going pretty good but I just finished my third week, so ask me again in a few weeks. Life was pretty crappy there for a while but it's getting a lot better, especially since I have tried to change my outlook on things. Whatever is meant to be will be. The Lord knows what he is doing and knows what is best for all of us. We just gotta trust him.
